WHY

Individuals in grief are more likely to act out in unhealthy ways. Lives that seemed predictable and secure suddenly become frayed and frightening. It can be devastating. Abba’s Child provides supportive experiences along with tools and resources to help kids and families navigate their frightening new reality.

PROGRAM

Abba’s Child strives to provide an environment where kids and families can explore their grief, freely talk about the confusing emotions they are experiencing, and have a whole lot of fun. Days filled with fun and rewarding activities take place in the beautiful outdoors, surrounded by accepting peers, supportive counselors, and fresh air.

STAFF

Trained host-camp staff oversee the camp activities and carry out the direct supervision of children when they are away from parents. A portion of each day is spent in specific grief support activities led by our trained grief professionals who have experience helping children navigate their grief. The remainder of the day is available to enjoy recreation and the healing power of nature.
